Weed Abatement
Northern Arizona Property Maintenance, Inc. (OPM License #8542) is a certified weed control company with the State of Arizona's Office of Pest Management. Our herbicide applicators are all state trained and licensed applicators.
We continue to learn and improve in our field by attending seminars and continuing education classes. We also stay in touch with chemical manufacturers to keep up to date with new technologies.
Clients range from landscape installation and maintenance companies, government departments, general contractors, property managers, business owners and individual homeowners. Our strategy is to work with clients on an individual basis and understand what they want.
We prefer to use "integrated pest management," assessing and diagnosing the weed problem and deciding what type of control is wanted and needed based on our clients individual needs. Weed abatement ranges from mechanical control (ie: pulling, mowing) to herbicide application.
Many clients have a weed problem that has been ignored for years and they simply want to get a handle on the situation with a one-time herbicide application and then take care of it themselves. Other clients sign up for recurring services during the growing season so they don't have to worry about weeds.
The spread of noxious weeds continues to be a big problem for many property owners in Northern Arizona. Noxious weeds can spread at an alarming rate, completely choking off native species. They can also rob native plants of needed water and nutrients. Dalmation Toadflax, Russian Thistle and Diffused Knapweed are just a few of the many weeds listed on the State of Arizona's noxious weed list that we typically find in Northern Arizona. Educating clients on the effects of noxious weeds and removing these invasive weeds from natural habitats is very important to us. If you have any questions, please contact us.
We primarily apply three types of chemical herbicides:
- Pre-emergent herbicides - Products that prevent weeds from germinating and emerging from the soil.
- Broadleaf herbicides - Products that can be safely applied to grass to kill weeds and not harm the turf.
- Post-emergent herbicides - Products that kill actively growing, green weeds.
We use all herbicide products in accordance with EPA standards. We are happy to talk with clients about the advantages and disadvantages of using organic herbicides that are available.

Commercial Grounds Maintenance
Northern Arizona Property Maintenance, Inc. began by mowing lawns for condominium complexes and now offers a variety of grounds maintenance services. These services include, but are not limited to:
- Litter and trash removal maintenance tailored to the needs of each individual property.
- Care of landscaped areas on properties including smoothing, raking and keeping gravel and ground cover areas neat and weed-free.
- Care of lawn turf areas including mowing, fertilizing, dethatching, core aerating and general upkeep.
- Care of ornamental trees and bushes including pruning, trimming, fertilizing and removal. We understand the various wants and needs of individual properties and work hard to maintain a balance of safety and aesthetics.
- Adjust and maintain lawn irrigation and drip irrigation systems. We are aware of how precious water is and strive to manage and maintain efficient and effective irrigation systems.
- We offer daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and one-time clean up maintenance. Junk removal is available.

Commercial Snow Removal
Northern Arizona Property Maintenance, Inc. provides commercial snow plowing and removal to business complexes, condominium complexes and subdivisions governed by Homeowners Associations.
Our services range from manual snow removal on sidewalks to snow plowing parking lots and roadways to spreading cinders in icy or steep areas. With a fleet of snow plow trucks, many of them equipped with cinder spreading equipment, no removal is too big or too small for us to handle. After the bulk of the storm has passed and all of our commercial accounts have been serviced, we also offer residential snow removal for vacation and second home owners.
